Our client’s customer experiences the brand

This week, Agustín, our CCO, traveled to São Paulo not only to make sure everything turned out spectacularly for one of our clients, but also to experience Febraban Tech firsthand and get a feel for the atmosphere at one of the region's biggest events.

To put that into perspective: the previous edition received nearly 60,000 visits over three days, and this year featured close to 300 exhibition spaces. It is a kind of financial city built for three days, filled with banks, fintechs, technology, auditoriums, screens, and thousands of people walking everywhere.
A nice reminder.

In the day-to-day and the way tasks are organized, the work tends to appear in pieces: a strategy, a platform, a landing page, a video (or several videos, to be honest, hehe), a few decks, thinking through and building the story told at the stand, brochures, social content, motion, screens, and every small detail that forms part of the space.

Every piece had its deadline, its file, its specs, its changes, and its setbacks. But when Agus arrived at the event, that fragmentation into thousands of tasks disappeared completely.

A shift in perspective

Someone walks into Febraban.

They see hundreds of brands. They walk around. They check the agenda. Something on a screen catches their attention. They approach the stand. They hear a story. They speak with someone from the team. They scan a QR code. They leave their details. They attend a talk. Later, they visit the website or receive an email.

That person is never going to think:

  • "Wow, what a great brochure."
  • "That motion piece was adapted really well."
  • "What a polished presentation."
  • "Damn, how many hours must this have taken?"

Because, to put it plainly:

Our client's customer does not give a hoot about the deliverables.

(Important generational clarification: for Gen Z, 'I don't give a hoot' means 'I don't give a fuck.' For millennials and Gen X... same. Anyway, let's keep going.)

And that is perfectly fine.

They should not care where one piece ends and the next begins. Much less how the work is divided or how the relationship between client and studio works.

For that person, it is all the brand.

The only thing that matters is whether they clearly understood what the company does. Whether they felt they were standing in front of a partner capable of helping banks and fintechs move with greater speed, agility, and security. Whether the territory and key messages felt real and consistent across every one of those touchpoints.

What happens behind the scenes

The experience does not exist only because of what we do at /nk. Behind it are the strategy, marketing, product, and sales teams, C-level leaders, and consultants. There are also the people who give the talks, welcome every visitor, know the solutions, produce the space, and keep everything running throughout those three days.

And, of course, there is our team too.

After several years of working together, we no longer start each project from scratch. There is accumulated context. We know what happened, what worked, what is coming next, and, many times, what they will probably need before the request even arrives.

That does not just strengthen the brand. It allows every new decision to add more value than the one before it. It means we can work better, yes, but also more nimbly and with a greater ability to anticipate, even when the unexpected happens.

To wrap things up

If by now it sounded as though we had reinvented the wheel, the truth is that we had not. We did not discover anything new at Febraban.

We already knew that our work does not end with a file or a deliverable. We know perfectly well that every piece forms part of something bigger. That on the other side there is not someone evaluating deliverables, but a person experiencing a brand.

We know it because it is in the DNA of what we do.

But one thing is knowing it while looking at pixels on a screen.

And another thing entirely is watching it happen in front of tens of thousands of people.

Seeing it live gives you back that sense of scale.

  • Of the space.
  • Of the people.
  • Of the work.
  • Of the impact.

And, above all, it gives you back something that can sometimes get lost in the day-to-day rush of deliveries, changes, and deadlines:

the pride of seeing that everything that began as an idea, a conversation, or a file is now out there, alive. Occupying physical space. Moving people. Shaping the way thousands of people perceive a brand.

Because, in the end, real impact is not found in everything we deliver.

It is found in everything that starts happening afterward.
