Challenge

Awwwards set out to create two unique yet connected experiences for its Digital Thinkers conferences in New York and Valencia. The goal: design platforms that reflect the spirit of each city while maintaining a unified identity—exclusive, forward-looking, and tailored to digital leaders.

Strategic Solution

We created two sibling sites under the same system: consistent in structure, distinct in atmosphere. Valencia’s site embraces a darker, high-contrast palette with fluid transitions, setting the tone for an intimate, tech-driven event by the Mediterranean. New York’s site, in contrast, leans into a lighter, editorial-inspired aesthetic, echoing the city’s cosmopolitan edge and thought leadership legacy. Both experiences highlight themes like AI, design innovation, and digital transformation—each through its own lens.

Results

The result is a cohesive digital system that adapts to context without losing identity. Two websites, two cities, one vision: to bring together the brightest minds in design and technology through an experience that feels as inspiring as the conversations it sparks.
